آگاہ اپنی موت سے کوئ بشر نہیں
ساماں سو برس کا ہے پل کی خبر نہیں
Aagaah apni mawt se koyi bashar nahi(n)
Saamaa(n) so baras ka hai, pal ki khabar nahi(n)
Uncertain of his death, is no human;
A century's worth of provisions he has gathered, yet he's bereft of the knowledge for his next few moments.
We often take life for granted, even each breath for granted, so I chose this canvas to act as a constant reminder for me. I wanted a black canvas because of the association with death, but even more than this, to represent the darkness of the grave.
The two-tone effect shows the cycle of life - the silver portrays the brightness of our existence, and the black depicts the darkness of death. It’s displayed in my bedroom for it to be the last thing I look at before I sleep and the first thing for me to look at in the morning, if Allah عزوجل wills.
It’s nigh on possible to fall in love with an inanimate object, but I think I finally did when I laid my eyes on this canvas. The fact that it’s a bespoke item makes it even more beautiful, and the attention to detail is just sublime. The turnaround time on a bespoke item is surprisingly fast! A quick and efficient service right from placing the order to receiving the final piece makes it all worthwhile.
You have the added bonus of being able to discuss your requirements with someone that has a wealth of experience with contemporary art, and can therefore give you advice with regards to what what will work best and look best.
I’d highly recommend Nuri Artwork and will definitely be taking advantage of their services again.
